Occupational Therapy Assistant

Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) - Adolescent and adult outpatient, part or full time therapist needed.

Ada Therapy Services, PLLC, is a small private outpatient occupational therapy clinic in Boise specializing in the treatment of adolescents and adults with neurocognitive and high-level functioning deficits. We treat functional, vocational, and cognitive skills related to Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, developmental delay and learning challenges, mental health diagnoses, dementia, Parkinson's, brain injury, stroke, and challenges with aging.

This is a flexible position with a fantastic team and patients. We're looking for the right candidate to grow with the practice.

  • Hours: The position will start out as part time (20-25 hours per week) with the potential to grow quickly as your caseload increases, up to 40 hours of treatment per week.
  • Schedule: Flexible scheduling but must be able to work some combination of Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri (or Saturday if preferred).
  • Pay: W2 employee paid per visit (not per hour) at $28-$32 per patient visit (based on experience) + paid weekly administrative time. Note: Being paid per visit = no company productivity requirements or reprimands!
  • Location: Most patient visits will occur in the Boise office with occasional visits at patient homes, job sites, or via telehealth as needed. We are looking for a therapist in the local Boise or Canyon County areas.

We are looking to bring on a new OTA team member with these qualifications:

  • Licensed OTA in the state of Idaho (or will be acquiring license prior to starting work).
  • NBCOT registered.
  • Occupational therapy degree from an accredited institution.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience and/or interest in working with adults and adolescents with neurological/neurocognitive, mental health, and mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
  • Experience and/or interest in working with adults and adolescents with sensory processing disorders (auditory, tactile, visual).
  • Experience within an outpatient setting.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Experience and ability to perform clinical administration tasks requiring appropriate communication, follow through with phone calls, and documentation.
  • Ability to maintain a regular clinical treatment schedule and consistency to attend all scheduled patient appointments.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills with additional strengths in working with a team.
  • Current driver's license and auto insurance policy (we occasionally meet clients at their homes, job sites, community locations).
  • Three professional references.
  • Agreement to complete a background check.
  • Current policy or ability to acquire independent contractor clinical malpractice insurance policy.
  • Up to date vaccinations.
