Occupational Therapy Assistant Clinical Instructor (Union, Missouri)
The instructor is responsible for teaching assigned courses (lecture, laboratory, didactic and distance) in his/her areas of expertise. The instructor is also responsible for advising students, and assisting with committee work, program planning, program evaluation, recruitment, and marketing efforts as assigned by the Program Director.
Essential Duties:
Develop and/or assist in developing course syllabi and topical outlines for courses
Teach assigned courses
Assist with review and adoption of instructional materials including textbooks, on-line instructional materials
Advise students as assigned. Develop and institute a mechanism for in-person and on-line advising of students
Assist Academic Fieldwork coordinator as requested, in developing Level I and Level II Fieldwork processes, experiences and methods for evaluation
Participate in program evaluation and curriculum development activities as assigned
Serve on committees as needed
Develop and pursue individual ongoing professional development plan, as approved by Program Director
Engage in clinical assignments designed to promote Program mission and clinical competence
Travel to Consortium campuses as needed to promote student success and performance.

The mission of the Missouri Health Professions Consortium (MHPC) Occupational Therapy Assistant Program is to educate and prepare occupational therapy assistants to provide occupational therapy interventions to the citizens of Missouri and neighboring states, especially those in rural and underserved areas. Qualifications:
Initially certified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
Licensed in the state of Missouri or eligible for licensure
Minimum of 2 years work experience as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant
If occupational therapist, understanding of and experience working with occupational therapy assistants
Documented expertise with computer technology and electronic teaching/learning and communication activities, knowledge of distance education methods
Documented content expertise in area(s) of teaching
Education: Baccalaureate degree, master's degree preferred
