Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our skilled nursing facility team. The Occupational Therapist will provide comprehensive assessments and individualized treatment plans to improve patients' functional abilities and quality of life. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care and support to residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients’ physical, cognitive, and emotional needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans designed to achieve specific therapeutic goals.
- Utilize therapeutic techniques, exercises, and adaptive equipment to enhance patients' ability to perform daily activities.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on therapeutic interventions and the use of adaptive equipment.
- Monitor and document patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or similar healthcare environment preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
