Life Skills Coach/Behavior Technician

Full or Part Time

Would you love to work with neurodivergent teens/young adults who share your passions, e.g. horses, animal rescue, hiking, plant protection, human rights, D&D, games, aviation, etc.? We believe that people learn best when they are doing something that they love and that brings meaning to their lives.

We believe in the power of strong therapeutic client relationships that are based on mutual vulnerability, respect, and open two-way communication.  We work with clients to help them identify what is important and meaningful in their lives and teach them how to bring their actions into alignment with their values. We embed instruction within time spent engaging in high affinity activities with clients.  Our coaches work in a close knit team of mental health professionals.  Under the supervision of behavioral health professionals, coaches provide services to neurodiverse teens/young adults to teach skills needed to realize their life goals.

Requirements

  • Commitment to social justice, calling out ableism, and working for equity and inclusion
  • Willing to be come a Certified Behavior Technician in WA State (40 hour course)
  • Previous experience and passion for working with neurodiverse teens/young adults
  • Dedication to following through on your commitments
  • Desire and openness to learning, speaking up, trying something new, and receiving feedback
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (or currently working toward degree)
  • We are looking for experienced team members who are committed to their job so pay begins at $27-$35 per hour
  • A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, background check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 40 per week
