Occupational therapist

We are looking for pediatric occupational therapists – OTRs/OTDs who demonstrate a genuine care for children and passion for improving lives. The right candidates will have a playful approach, calm demeanor, have lots of experience with children and be a fast learner. 

Our clinic takes a holistic and collaborative approach to treatment. We serve a diverse population, and the right candidates will be flexible in their approach and able to empathize with each family’s particular needs.

Candidates must be a registered OT with a degree from a college/university having an accredited school of occupational therapy, be licensed by the state of Texas (or eligible for licensure) and have a working knowledge and use of assessment tools used in the evaluation of infants and children. New graduates are welcome to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide occupational therapy to assigned children.
  • Evaluate and monitor progress of assigned children in the areas of gross motor, fine motor, perceptual and self-help development.
  • Maintain proper documentation of evaluation, treatment session and progress of children.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Degree from a college or university having an accredited school of occupational therapy.
2. Currently registered and licensed by the state of Texas or eligible for licensure.
3. Working knowledge and use of assessment tools used in the evaluation of infants and children.
4. Physical ability to lift and transfer children (minimum of 25 lbs.)
5. Ability to participate in handling and floor activities with children.
6. Completion of a pediatric internship or pediatric experience required.
7. MNRI, DIR/Floortime®, Integrated Listening Systems, and/or Quantum Reflex Integration experience preferred, but not required.
8. Have current CPR certification or be able to obtain within 3 months.
9. Microsoft Office proficient.
