Independent Living Coach (ILC) – Female Facility

$16–$20 PER HOUR

Genesis Youth Services is looking for a motivated, dependable, and compassionate female Independent Living Coach to join our team!

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Independent Living Coach provides hands-on guidance, mentorship, and individualized support to youth enrolled in our Independent Living Plus (ILP) program. Working under the direction of the Case Manager, the ILC helps youth develop essential life skills and achieve their individual service plan goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

● Establish positive, professional mentoring relationships with youth.

● Support youth in developing independent living and daily life skills.

● Provide individualized coaching and one-on-one support.

● Assist with meal preparation and daily household activities.

● Encourage educational, vocational, and personal development.

● Organize recreational and community volunteer activities.

● Promote positive peer relationships and healthy decision-making.

● Maintain accurate documentation and communicate updates to the Case Manager.

● Follow all Genesis Youth Services and MDHHS program policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS

● High school diploma or GED required.

● Bachelor’s degree preferred.

● Minimum of 2 years of relevant human services experience.

● Background in youth development, criminal justice, job development, or crisis intervention preferred.

● Valid state driver’s license.

● Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting.

● CPR and First Aid certification (required within 90 days of hire).
