We’re a family-owned academy where students learn martial arts while building confidence, discipline, and perseverance. We’re looking for someone who wants to contribute to that environment, develop as an instructor, and grow with our school.

Martial arts experience is required, and training in our curriculum is provided. You do not need to come from our specific style, but you must be willing to learn and teach our Southern Five Animals and Northern Longfist curriculum.

  • Provide patient instruction while maintaining clear expectations for student behavior.
  • Help new students feel welcome and comfortable during trial classes.
  • Assist with class preparation, student check-in, basic administrative tasks, and keeping the academy clean and ready for training.
  • Communicate professionally with students, parents, and fellow instructors.
  • Participate in instructor training and provide occasional support for academy events and workshops.

Who we’re looking for

  • Someone who enjoys teaching and working with children.
  • A reliable teammate who arrives on time and follows through.
  • A clear communicator who is patient, encouraging, and comfortable leading a group.
  • Someone who welcomes feedback and is willing to learn our teaching methods and curriculum.
  • A person who can balance a fun, welcoming atmosphere with structure and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Willingness to complete a background check.

Schedule

Anticipated schedule is Monday–Friday, approximately 4:00–8:00 p.m., with occasional Saturdays in the future. Exact hours and Saturday availability will be discussed during the interview.

What we offer

  • A paid, part-time opportunity at a growing, family-owned academy.
