Willow Oak Community Behavioral Health Center, Inc.
Location: Newnan, GA — onsite and community-based across Coweta County and the surrounding service counties

Pay: $20.00–$22.55 per hour
Willow Oak Community Behavioral Health Center is a DBHDD-contracted, CARF-accredited outpatient behavioral health agency in Newnan, Georgia, serving children, adolescents, and adults. We are hiring a Georgia Certified Peer Specialist to provide peer support services — individual and group — to clients in recovery from mental health and substance use challenges.
Peer support at Willow Oak means walking alongside clients as someone who has been there: sharing lived experience appropriately, supporting recovery goals, helping clients build daily living and coping skills, and connecting them to community resources. Services are documented in the electronic health record the same day and billed only for certified, employed peer specialists under the agency's authorization and supervision structure.
New patients are seen within 24 hours, and medication management is provided in addition to therapy — peer support is part of that same team.
Requirements:
- Georgia Certified Peer Specialist certification (CPS-MH, CPS-AD, CPS-P, or CPS-Y) — required; peer work is billable only for certified specialists
- Lived experience in recovery, shared appropriately in the peer role
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Georgia driver's license and reliable transportation for community services
- CPR, First Aid, and CPI certification (applicant's responsibility)
- Criminal background check and fingerprinting (applicant's responsibility)
- Documentation completed in the electronic record within the agency's timelines
Terms:
- 1099 independent contractor position
- Apply through the Careers page at willowoakgeorgia.com/careers; documentation to admin@willowoakgeorgia.com
- Interviews are scheduled by email request, 45 minutes, in person at the Newnan office
- No fee to apply
Schedule note: This position is exempt from the agency's one-day-per-week in-office requirement; services are delivered in the office and in the community as clients are assigned.
