Gene Cook Supports | $18/hour

Gene Cook Supports is seeking compassionate and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism in their homes and communities. DSPs play a vital role in helping individuals build independence, develop life skills, and participate fully in community life.

This position is ideal for students or professionals interested in human services, psychology, social work, education, nursing, healthcare, or related fields. No prior experience is required—we provide training.

Responsibilities:
• Support individuals with daily living skills and personal goals
• Assist with community participation and recreational activities
• Promote independence, socialization, and skill development
• Provide transportation to community activities and appointments
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals supported
• Document services and progress as required

Qualifications:
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver's license, registration, and insurance
• Ability to complete required background checks and training
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required
