On-Campus Skill Sprint Coordinator
On-Campus Skill Sprint Coordinator
Full-time, early-career role · Based in Boca Raton, FL ·
Temporary relocation to Austin, TX or Santa Barbara, CA for the full sprint season (November 2026 – mid-March 2027)
About us
We are a small college-advising and education team. We run a high-school skills program for a private school network with campuses in Austin, Miami, Santa Barbara, New York and other cities. This role is well suited to a recent graduate or early-career professional seeking hands-on experience running a program and working closely with students.
The program
Ten one-week “skill sprints” run from November through mid-March.
Each sprint is a workshop in one skill, such as persuasive writing, public speaking, sales, AI and vibe coding, theater, fashion design, short-form video, robotics, wet-lab chemistry or world languages, and ends with a competition. Sessions run approximately three hours each afternoon.
Outside experts teach, the school's own staff (guides) supervise the students, and our team designs the curriculum, books the experts and runs the program. Austin is the largest site, with two groups of approximately 25 students. Miami has one smaller group, and West Coast and remote students join a group in their own time zone.
Responsibilities
During the sprint season, the coordinator will serve as our on-site lead at their assigned campus (Austin or Santa Barbara) and as the main point of contact for everyone involved in the sprints.
• Runs afternoon sessions. Attends every session and ensures the room, equipment and materials are ready, so the expert can focus on teaching.
• Coordinates the guides. Ensures each guide knows their role for the day (supervising a group, taking attendance or observing) and keeps the guides and the expert aligned.
• Supports students. Answers questions, keeps students engaged and reassigns students between groups as needed.
• Resolves issues as they arise. Addresses late supplies, video issues, room changes or a delayed expert on the spot and reports back to our team.
• Serves as the school's main contact for the sprints. Answers campus leadership's questions where possible and escalates the rest to our team.
• Provides daily updates. Sends brief notes to our team on what worked, what did not and how students responded. This is not a teaching role. The school's teachers cover academics in the morning; the coordinator runs the afternoon program.
Growth opportunities
• Hands-on experience running a multi-site education program from start to finish
• Direct work with industry experts, school leadership and our leadership team
• A full-time role in Boca Raton after the sprint season, with a path into an advising or operations role on our team for the right candidate
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in business, events, hospitality, marketing or a related field
• 1–2 years of experience in event planning, program coordination, hospitality or a related area. Internships, campus leadership roles and part-time work count.
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups and holding the attention of teenagers and adults
• Able to encourage students to give something new a genuine try
• Calm under pressure and decisive
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• Professional and reliable when representing a small team
• Experience with high-school students (teaching, tutoring, coaching, camps) is a plus
Logistics
• Location: Full-time role based in Boca Raton. For the sprint season, the coordinator will temporarily relocate to Austin or Santa Barbara, arriving by November 2, 2026 (ideally in late October to set up). We will support housing and travel.
