Regional Operations Intern

Regional Operations InternFamily Care, Inc. | Statesboro, GAInternship | In officeAbout Family CareFamily Care, Inc. provides in-home care and support for older adults and people with disabilities across East Georgia. Our Statesboro office is new. The intern will be the first person in that office, responsible for local growth and day-to-day operations, with regular support from the Thomson headquarters.The roleThis is a working internship, not an observation placement. You will represent Family Care in Bulloch County and the surrounding area, build referral relationships, and keep the Statesboro office running. You will report to corporate leadership and serve as the local liaison between the community, clients, caregivers, and headquarters.What you will doCommunity outreach and referrals• Introduce Family Care to hospitals, physician offices, senior centers, churches, and community partners.• Receive and process referrals. Follow up with families and referral sources in a timely, professional way.• Track outreach activity and referral status so leadership can see what is working.Hiring and onboarding• Screen and interview caregiver, nurse, and office candidates.• Help with onboarding: paperwork, orientation, and getting new team members ready for the field.Office and regional operations• Open and manage the Statesboro office, including phones, email, scheduling, and supplies.• Coordinate local schedules, visits, and issues with the corporate team.• Be the on-site point of contact for clients, families, and staff in the region.Public relations• Represent Family Care at community events, health fairs, and meetings.• Help with local messaging so Family Care is known as a reliable care provider in the area.Population health, reporting, and improvement• Assist with population health tasks tied to client needs, service gaps, and partner follow-up.• Pull and organize reports on referrals, hiring, outreach, and office activity.• Take on small process-improvement projects assigned by headquarters.What you bring• Current Georgia Southern student, preferably in health administration, public health, business, nursing, social work, communications, or a related field.• Reliable transportation and willingness to meet partners in the community.• Clear phone and email communication, and comfort talking with older adults, families, and healthcare staff.• Organized enough to manage an office with light supervision.• Ability to handle confidential client and employee information.• Interest in healthcare operations, or clinical work.What you will get• Ownership of a startup office, with a direct line to company leadership.• Experience in referrals, hiring, community relations, and healthcare operations.• A resume line that is operational, not clerical.DetailsLocation: Statesboro office, with occasional travel in the region and to Thomson or Augusta as needed.Schedule: To Be Determined
