Football Staff
Description: Football instructors provide a structured class teaching students in flag football skills and various other sports related to the sports department.
- Football instructors assist in instructing football practices with children from the ages of 7 to 14. This includes the basics of playing the sport including passing, defending, offensive and defensive play formations, and stretching.
- Football instructors are responsible for developing individual lesson plans, being familiar with various styles of class formats offered, supervising class participants, and leading instructional sessions and league games.
- This position is not primarily a coaching position. However, football staff may be periodically asked to be a substitute coach when a volunteer coach is absent. Football instructors help develop volunteers with the intention of creating new coaches.
- Football instructors supervise football league games on weekends to ensure that all YMCA rules, policies, and procedures are always followed. They take account for and maintain football equipment.
- When needed, football instructors may officiate league games.
- All sports instructors assist in the success of all sports program duties such as fundraising, special events, and marketing.
- All sports instructors ensure the safety of all program participants.
- Hours: Part-time/non-exempt position
- Wage: $17.00 per hour

Hours: Part-time, non-exempt position
- Should be available from Monday to Friday from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm and from Saturday to Sunday from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Must be available on weekends.

Qualifications: Football instructor applicants must be at least 18 years of age.
- Qualified applicants should have one year or more experience working with or coaching youth in large groups in an organized (particularly football) setting.
- All potential employees must submit to and comply with all requirements for employment including, but not limited to, a criminal background check, drug and alcohol testing, health screening, and tuberculosis test.
- Employees must be CPR/first aid certified within the first 30 days of employment and kept current for condition of continued employment. The Anaheim Family YMCA periodically provides CPR/first aid training to staff who need certification.
