KidsUnited is a soccer center for early childhood development. Our unique training method develops the physical, personal, intellectual and social skills of children from 1.5 to 9 years old. KidsUnited doesn't just teach children how to play soccer; it is an early development system that uses soccer as its main teaching tool. As a KidsUnited coach, you'll make a positive impact on children during the most important years of their development, and through our ongoing training, you can reach your full coaching potential.
KidsUnited Woburn is a brand-new club opening December 4 at 240 W Cummings Park, Woburn, with a climate-controlled indoor turf field and small classes of 10-12 kids. We're building our founding coaching team, and top coaches will have the opportunity to grow into Lead and Head Coach roles as the club grows.
We're looking for: a passion for child development a strong soccer and coaching foundation high energy, professionalism and coachability leadership experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Coach fun, engaging 45-minute classes for children ages 1.5 - 9
- Follow the KidsUnited structure and curriculum
- Support children's growth in body mastery, soccer coordination and life skills
- Create a warm, welcoming experience for every family, from the first free intro class onward
- Give parents short feedback on their child's progress after class
- Keep accurate records of progress reviews
- Make sure health and safety precautions are followed during all activities
- Attend trainings and team meetings, and share feedback to help improve the program
Qualifications
- At least 6 months of coaching youth soccer, OR 1 year of experience working with children (camps, teaching, babysitting, tutoring) plus a background playing soccer
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Energetic, patient and reliable, and you enjoy working as part of a team
- Good time management and organization
- Available weekday evenings (about 3:45 - 8:00 PM) and/or weekends
- 18+ with reliable transportation (free parking; near I-93 and I-95)
- Must pass a background check (CORI)
- CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to get it (we can help)
- Preferred: leadership experience (team captain, camp counselor, shift lead), early-childhood education background, or customer service experience
- Nice to have: studying education, early childhood, kinesiology/exercise science, physical education, sport management or psychology
Pay and benefits
- $18-$24 per hour
- Part-time, about 10 to 25 hours per week, scheduled around your classes; more hours available
- Paid on-the-job training in the KidsUnited curriculum
- Path to Lead / Head Coach for top performers
- Hands-on experience in child development and coaching, great for careers in education, PT, OT and sports
