School Social Worker

Job Position: School Social Worker

Location: Minooka, IL 60447

Pay Rate: $50.00/hr

Looking for a role where you can truly make an impact? Birch Agency is seeking a School Social Worker to support students at Minooka Primary Center during a full-time leave assignment. In this role, you will provide social-emotional support, conduct evaluations, collaborate with educators and families, contribute to student support planning, and help foster a positive learning environment that promotes student success and well-being. This opportunity stands out for its chance to work with young learners ages 3-5 during critical developmental years in a collaborative, student-focused educational setting. You'll join a supportive team that values professional collaboration while making a meaningful impact on student growth and well-being, all within a consistent full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Required Qualifications:


  • Master's Degree in Social Work


  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker endorsement or appropriate state certification


  • Appropriate endorsement


Key Responsibilities:


  • Conduct evaluations for students ages 2 years, 10 months and older


  • Provide individual and group counseling services to students


  • Push into classrooms to provide direct student services and support


  • Support IEP teams and contribute to the development and implementation of student goals and interventions


  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers


  • Maintain appropriate documentation and case records


  • Assist in developing strategies that support students' social, emotional, behavioral, and academic success


  • Connect students and families with school and community resources as needed


  • Participate in arrival and dismissal duties, assisting students from vehicles and buses into the building


  • Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive school environment


Qualifications:


  • Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills


  • Knowledge of social-emotional learning and behavioral support practices


  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and staff


  • Experience working with preschool and early childhood-aged students preferred


  • Commitment to supporting student success and well-being
