Health Educator - Bilingual /English/Spanish

Bilingual Health Educator

Status: Full-Time | Hybrid Position | Open Until Filled

Starting Salary: $50,000–$52,000/year

Location: Orange County, CA
 


Position Overview
Partners4Wellness is seeking a passionate and motivated Bilingual Health Educator (English/Spanish) to join our team. This full-time hybrid position plays an important role in providing substance use prevention education and outreach to youth, parents, and community members throughout Orange County.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in both English and Spanish, has strong communication and presentation skills, and is comfortable working with diverse youth, parent, and community audiences.


Primary Responsibilities
• Conduct engaging substance use prevention presentations for elementary, middle and high school students, parents, and community members.
• Provide culturally responsive prevention education and community outreach.
• Collaborate with schools, community organizations, and partner agencies to coordinate and deliver prevention services.
• Represent Partners4Wellness at school and community meetings, events, trainings and outreach activities.
• Stay informed about emerging trends and issues related to youth and substance use and prevention.
• Assist with the development of educational materials, presentations, and other program resources.
• Prepare accurate and timely program documentation and monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Support grant writing and other program development efforts, as needed.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with community partners and effectively represent Partners4Wellness.


Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, Public Health, Community Health, Education, Social Sciences or a related field.
• Fluency in English and one other language (Spanish preferred).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills with the ability to engage youth and adult audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Orange County communities and local resources preferred.
• Experience in alcohol, tobacco, and other drug prevention, health education, youth development or community outreach is a plus.

• Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.
• Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends for community events or trainings.
• Willingness to travel to schools, community locations, and events throughout Orange County.
• Ability to create and develop program and educational materials.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid environment that includes office, remote, school and community-based work.
• Reliable transportation.
