40 Sport Mobility is a sports-performance mobility company built exclusively for competitive teams and organizations.
We provide structured, one-on-one, bench-based mobility within team environments, focusing on usable range of motion, joint mobility, movement quality, athlete awareness, and the physical demands of training, competition, travel, and recovery.
We are seeking motivated college students and recent graduates in the Boston area who want hands-on exposure to sports performance and athlete development.
This paid, semester-based internship combines education, practical training, certification, mentorship, and supervised field experience.
Interns may gain exposure to collegiate athletics, AAU club programs, sports organizations, academies, and motorsports, depending on assignments and available opportunities.
Responsibilities & Experience
• Complete required 40 Sport Mobility education, practical training, and certification.
• Learn structured, bench-based mobility protocols for competitive athletes.
• Develop knowledge of mobility, usable range of motion, joint function, movement quality, and sport-specific demands.
• Participate in supervised team and sports-performance environments.
• Assist with athlete flow, equipment setup, session organization, and operational support.
• Learn how mobility can be integrated around practice, strength training, competition, travel, and recovery.
• Observe collaboration with coaches, athletic trainers, strength & conditioning professionals, and performance staffs.
• Participate in continuing education, mentorship, and professional-development sessions.
• Maintain strict athlete privacy, team confidentiality, and professional conduct.

Minimum Requirements
• Current college student or recent graduate in a related field.
• Professional, dependable, coachable, and comfortable in team environments.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to complete required training and certification.
• Ability to accommodate team, practice, competition, and event schedules.
• Access to reliable transportation throughout the Boston area.
• Valid driver’s license if driving to assigned locations.
• Ability to maintain athlete and team confidentiality.
Previous professional mobility experience is not required. Training is provided.
Internship Structure
• Paid internship
• One academic semester or equivalent approved internship hours
• Primarily in-person throughout the Boston market
• Required practical training and certification
• Approved internship-related travel and certification expenses covered by 40 Sport Mobility
• Schedule may vary based on team and event schedules
• Continued opportunities may be available based on performance and future company needs
