Social Services Worker 3
Primary duties:
- Intensive onboarding, training, mentoring, and supporting social services staff in all areas of agency operations and child protective services.
- Maintenance of a small caseload of families/children who require protective assistance, including back up coverage of intakes.
- In times of staffing shortages will carry a larger caseload.
- Assists protective services supervisors with screening intakes, as assigned.
- Conducts independent in-house reviews of the full spectrum of child protective services cases to detect, correct and reduce errors.
- Provides team meeting and case review facilitation as assigned.
- Shares back-up (on-call) with direct line-supervisors.
- Interprets, clarifies, and trains new and existing staff on procedures, policies, regulations, and laws pertaining to social services issues.
- Serves on internal and external committees which deal with Social Services issues.
- Helps maintain community awareness of social services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field. Two years’ experience as a Social Services Worker 2 in Child Protective Services
