(1143) Peer and Veteran Services Supervisor
The Peer & Veteran Services Supervisor provides day-to-day leadership and operational oversight of BTCS peer and veteran services. This position supervises and develops staff, promotes recovery-oriented and person-centered service delivery, and supports the integration of peer services across behavioral health programs.
The Supervisor is responsible for ensuring quality service delivery, documentation compliance, staff productivity, program and grant performance, budget monitoring, and required reporting. This position works closely with BTCS leadership, staff, funders, and community partners to strengthen programming, improve access to services, and support positive outcomes for veterans, military-connected individuals, families, and others served by BTCS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide regular supervision, coaching, onboarding, training, professional development, and performance feedback to peer and veteran services staff.
- Support recruitment, hiring, orientation, and ongoing development of staff.
- Review Skills Training, Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), peer support, and other applicable documentation for completeness, accuracy, timeliness, quality, and alignment with service requirements.
- Provide timely coaching and follow-up regarding documentation, service delivery, productivity, and performance concerns.
- Monitor staff productivity, service activity, program outcomes, grant deliverables, and agency performance measures.
- Monitor program budgets and grant expenditures in coordination with BTCS leadership and finance staff.
- Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports for BTCS, the Military Veteran Peer Network (MVPN), Texas Veterans Commission (TVC), and other applicable funders or partners.
- Support compliance with program, grant, contract, documentation, and reporting requirements.
- Promote recovery-oriented, person-centered, trauma-informed, and strengths-based approaches to service delivery and the appropriate use of program curricula and materials.
- Identify service delivery, documentation, workflow, or program concerns and collaborate with staff and leadership to implement improvements.
- Support continuous quality improvement and the development or refinement of program processes and procedures.
- Coordinate outreach, referrals, community education, and partnerships that increase awareness of and access to peer and veteran services.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with veteran-serving organizations, behavioral health providers, community organizations, and other stakeholders.
- Participate in or lead community outreach events, groups, workshops, classes, and other program-related activities.
- Support the integration of peer support within BTCS behavioral health services and promote recovery concepts throughout the organization.
Location: Bastrop, Seguin, Georgetown, Gonzales, and Round Rock, TX
Hourly Salary Range: $27.85 - $34.60
Differential Detail:
- $1.00 per hour - 2 year previous experience
- Up to $4.00 per hour - BTCS Tenure
- $0.75 per hour - Bilingual
- $1.00 per hour - Career Ladder Specialty

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in human services. Candidates with a degree in another field must have completed at least 24 credit hours in a human services-related field.
1 year experience in community behavioral health services.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, recovery-oriented environment and to build meaningful connections with individuals served.
Strong communication and computer skills.
Valid Texas driver’s license and ability to maintain approved driver status throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in human services or a related field.
At least one year of experience providing wellness and recovery support services in mental health, substance use treatment, and/or crisis intervention and screening.
1 year of leadership experience or supervisory role.
Certified Peer Specialist Supervisor.
Bilingual in Spanish.
