Mandarin Bilingual College Admissions Counselor

iLEARN Education is expanding our College Counseling program and is seeking an experienced College Admissions Counselor to join our Irvine team.

We are looking for someone with strong knowledge of the U.S. college admissions process, particularly Ivy League, Top 20, and other highly selective universities, who can independently guide students from early planning and profile development through final applications.

This is an opportunity to help build and grow a new College Counseling program within an established education organization. iLEARN provides an existing student and family community, operational support, and infrastructure, allowing the counselor to focus on students, strategy, and results.

For the right candidate, this role has the potential to grow into a full-time leadership position with meaningful involvement in developing and leading the College Counseling program.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized college admissions strategies.
• Advise students on academic planning, college selection, and application positioning.
• Guide profile development through extracurriculars, leadership, research, internships, summer programs, competitions, and other opportunities.
• Guide students through Common App, UC applications, and other college application processes.
• Support personal statements, supplemental essays, activity lists, and overall application presentation.
• Advise students and families on strategies for Ivy League, Top 20, and other highly selective universities.
• Meet in person with students and parents to review strategy, progress, and next steps.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of professional college counseling or admissions consulting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. college admissions, particularly highly selective admissions.
• Demonstrated experience in student profile development, extracurricular planning, essay guidance, and application strategy.
• Ability to independently manage students through the complete college application process.
• Excellent communication and writing skills.
• Must be available to work in person at our Irvine location.

Preferred

• Successful experience advising students applying to Ivy League, Top 20, and other highly selective universities.
• Familiarity with private schools in Orange County and the greater Los Angeles area and their college admissions landscape.
