Career Coaching Intern

Position Summary
Looking for an internship where your work will directly change lives? As our Career Coaching Intern, you'll play a hands-on role in helping jobseekers overcome real barriers to employment — crafting resumes that open doors, researching job opportunities tailored to each person's background and needs, and submitting applications on behalf of clients navigating language or technology barriers. You'll help connect clients to incentives and essential resources like bus passes, and dig into community resources for those facing crisis or additional challenges.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who's resourceful, compassionate, and eager to gain meaningful experience in a fast-paced environment supporting jobseekers and those pursuing career advancement.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Research job openings tailored to the needs, experience, and barriers of jobseekers
• Assist jobseekers with job applications, particularly those who face limited technology access, language barriers, or limited digital literacy
• Observe client meetings and assist with resume development, application tracking, and documentation as needed
• Assist with follow-up and distribution of incentives, bus passes, and other resources
• Research community services to support clients in crisis or those needing additional support to meet basic needs and navigate systems
• Attend staff meetings, program meetings, and career coach meetings
• Assist with workshops and events as needed
• Intern will also be invited to participate in PAWW programs and services to further career development

Qualifications
• Pursuing or has completed coursework in counseling, social work, human resources, psychology, nonprofit management, or a related field; junior, senior, or graduate students preferred
• Connects with the communities we serve and listens closely to understand people's needs
• Brings a growth mindset — eager to learn, open to feedback, and views mistakes as opportunities to improve
• Deeply committed to women's equity and empowerment, with genuine enthusiasm for PA Women Work's mission
• Builds strong interpersonal relationships and feels at ease engaging with diverse audiences
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment within a growing organization

Schedule & Compensation
Interns will work 10–15 hours per week throughout the semester. We offer flexible, hybrid/remote working hours and a $480 monthly stipend.
