The Behavior Place is looking for compassionate, reliable, and motivated individuals to join our Arlington team as Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians.

This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in psychology, behavioral health, education, child development, special education, social work, or other helping professions who want hands on experience working with children.

Our RBTs and Behavior Technicians provide one on one Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to children with autism and related developmental disabilities under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or other qualified clinical supervisor.

What You'll Do

• Provide direct one on one ABA therapy in clinic, home, school, and community settings
• Implement individualized treatment plans, behavior intervention plans, and skill acquisition programs
• Help clients develop communication, social, behavioral, daily living, and independence skills
• Collect and record accurate behavioral and skill acquisition data, including ABC data as needed
• Complete accurate and timely session notes and required documentation
• Monitor client progress and communicate concerns or barriers to supervisors
• Support clients with hygiene and personal care needs as appropriate, including toileting, handwashing, feeding, dressing, and other activities of daily living
• Support client safety and assist with behavior de escalation as trained
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized therapy spaces and materials
• Collaborate with BCBAs, Clinical Directors, Lead RBTs, Senior RBTs, and other team members
• Maintain professional communication with staff, leadership, and families
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in accordance with company policies and HIPAA requirements

Schedule

Available opportunities include clinic and community based cases in and around the Arlington area.

Typical session times include:

• Morning: 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM
• Afternoon: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
• Evening: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Candidates must be available to work at least three evening shifts per week from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Additional daytime and weekend opportunities may be available depending on client needs.

Qualifications

• At least one year of experience working with children with special needs or related experience in childcare, teaching, preschool, or a similar setting
• Current Registered Behavior Technician certification preferred
• Washington State Behavior Technician credential preferred
• Ability to obtain the Washington State Behavior Technician credential and Registered Behavior Technician credential if not currently held
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain certification
• Ability to successfully complete required background screening
• Strong communication skills and professionalism
• Reliable attendance and punctuality
• Willingness to learn and receive ongoing supervision and feedback

Pay & Benefits

• Direct care pay of $22.00 to $26.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
• Administrative and other nonbillable time paid at the applicable minimum wage
• $1,000 sign on bonus for current RBTs and CBTs and candidates who have completed the 40 hour training course, payable upon successful completion of the 90 day probationary period
• Inter client drive time pay and mileage reimbursement
