The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides one-to-one assistance to children/adolescents following individual treatment plans designed to teach skills and interventions to help them succeed in the classroom/community/home environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prompt interventions in the areas of behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and peer interaction skills based on the treatment plan goals provided by a Behavior Consultant or Mobile Therapist.
  • Collect data and document progress in a prescribed format for each session with the child/adolescent.
  • Complete initial and annual training as required.
  • Collaborate with client, family, and all other assigned team members to ensure compliance.

What you need to be SUCCESSFUL in the Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) role:

  • Passion for patient care and a desire to make positive changes in someone's life
  • Proficiency in Excel, MS Word, and ability to learn and efficiently utilize other computer applications (i.e., electronic medical records)
  • Must possess or have ability to obtain Act 33, Act 34, and FBI clearances
  • Valid PA Driver's license and active auto insurance
