Service Navigator
Service Navigator
Irving Cares | Irving, TX
Full Time | Onsite
When a neighbor reaches out to Irving Cares for help, they may not know what services are available, what they qualify for, what information they need, or where to begin.
That’s where the Service Navigator comes in.
Service Navigators are often the first point of contact for our neighbors. They listen, ask the right questions, explain options, help people navigate requirements, gather information and documentation, and connect each person with the appropriate next step.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is bilingual in English and Spanish, genuinely good with people, highly organized, and comfortable using technology. You do not need to come to us with years of nonprofit or social services experience. If you know how to provide exceptional service, communicate clearly, learn processes, and treat people with dignity and respect, we can help you learn the rest.
What You’ll Do
In this role, you will:
Welcome neighbors and create a positive, respectful experience from their first interaction with Irving Cares and help them understand the services and resources available to them
Explain program requirements, eligibility guidelines, and next steps clearly in both English and Spanish
Complete initial screenings and pre-qualification activities
Help neighbors gather and submit required information and documentation
Review information for completeness and follow up when something is missing

About Irving Cares
Irving Cares is a community-based nonprofit serving Irving residents experiencing financial crisis. We provide food assistance, emergency financial assistance, employment and education support, and connections to community resources that help our neighbors address immediate needs and work toward greater stability.
Our work is changing, too. We are improving our processes and investing in new technology to make accessing services easier for our neighbors and to give our team better tools to serve them.
Through all of that change, one thing remains constant: our neighbors deserve a clear path to help and to be treated with dignity and respect along the way.
