King Co Disability Consortium Specialist - Disability Empowerment Center
This is an AmeriCorps/Washington Service Corps national service position. It is contingent on funding and open until filled. To serve in AmeriCorps you must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States. Please do not inquire if you do not meet these requirements.
The King County Disability Consortium Specialist will support the King County Disability Consortium through outreach and event planning. Duties include:
- Recruit potential members and screen panelists and guest speakers for monthly meetings.
- Conduct research on topics relevant for discussion by the King County disability community.
- Organize speaking events to increase community awareness of ableism and related subjects.
- Provide logistical support for meeting planning, including agenda drafting.
- Collect and analyze data for problem solving, policy recommendation, and program impact evaluation.
Monthly stipend: $2,438
