Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC / LPC-IT)

We are seeking compassionate and motivated Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) and Licensed Professional Counselor–In Training (LPC-IT) clinicians to join our behavioral health team.

This position offers significant flexibility, allowing clinicians to build and manage their own schedules and caseloads while providing meaningful, client-centered mental health services.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical intakes, biopsychosocial assessments, screenings, and risk assessments
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans
• Provide individual, group, couples, and/or family counseling
• Complete timely and accurate progress notes, assessments, treatment plans, and discharge documentation
• Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and safety planning as appropriate
• Coordinate care with case managers, medical providers, psychiatrists, and other community professionals
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and team meetings
• Advocate for clients and assist with continuity of care
• Maintain HIPAA compliance, professional boundaries, and ethical standards
• Provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and person-centered care

For Fully Licensed LPCs

• Independently conduct clinical assessments and provide diagnoses within scope of practice
• Develop and oversee treatment plans
• Provide psychotherapy independently within professional scope
• Provide clinical supervision to LPC-ITs or trainees when appropriately credentialed and approved

For LPC-IT Clinicians

• Provide counseling and clinical services under approved supervision
• Participate in required clinical supervision
• Complete assessments, treatment planning, and other clinical responsibilities consistent with LPC-IT scope of practice
• Apply supervisory feedback to clinical practice
• Accumulate supervised clinical experience toward full LPC licensure

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Professional Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or another applicable state-approved field
• Current Wisconsin LPC license OR current/eligible Wisconsin LPC-IT credential
• Knowledge of DSM-5-TR, clinical assessment, treatment planning, and counseling techniques
• Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to ethical, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care

Experience with community mental health, trauma, substance use disorders, co-occurring disorders, serious mental illness, crisis intervention, Medicaid services, or underserved populations is preferred.
