[Fall 2026] Club Athletics Coach - Baseball/Softball - East Harlem Middle

Reporting to the Dean of Student Life, the Middle School Club Athletics Coach will support the development of athletic skills and provide opportunities for social emotional learning by leading club sports teams during DREAM’s after-school program, including planning and leading practices, coaching during scrimmages, and leading leadership and social emotional learning activities. Responsibilities include leading a group of up to 18-20 youth in daily after-school sports practices and occasional scrimmages; teaching skill development in a supportive setting; submitting practice plans; supervising youth during travel; communicating with school and program staff; coordinating scrimmages; modeling positive participation, professionalism, and positive youth development strategies. Qualifications include athletics or recreational programming experience with grades 6-8, experience teaching foundational physical activity and athletic skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, patience and enthusiasm with youth, and a strong belief in DREAM’s mission and values. Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:00-6:15pm when after school is in session. Start date August 25, 2026; end date November 30, 2026. Compensation: The rate for incoming Club Coaches is $30 per hour. Club Coaches who are also DREAM full-time staff may receive a $2,520 per-season stipend.
