Mental Health & Youth Wellness Intern
Woodruff Scout Camp is seeking a Mental Health & Youth Wellness Intern to support the emotional well-being of campers and seasonal staff. This paid internship provides hands-on experience working with youth in a unique residential summer camp environment.
The intern will work alongside camp leadership to support campers experiencing homesickness, anxiety, confidence challenges, peer concerns, and adjustment to being away from home. Interns will make proactive rounds throughout camp, provide appropriate one-on-one support, assist staff members with camper concerns, help deliver mental health awareness education for adult leaders, and support positive social-emotional experiences throughout camp.
Applicants should be pursuing a degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Human Services, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field. Strong communication, empathy, professionalism, confidentiality, and the ability to build positive relationships with youth are essential.
This is a paid, residential summer internship. Housing, meals, staff uniforms, and weekly pay are provided. Internship/practicum credit may be available depending on the requirements and approval of the student's college or university.
