Are you passionate about helping people find stable housing and build lives of greater independence and community connection? Valley Community Services Board (VCSB) is seeking a compassionate and organized Housing Specialist to join our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) team.
Under the direction of the Permanent Supportive Housing Supervisor, you’ll provide a combination of office, field, and community-based services to support individuals and families participating in PSH programs. You’ll help eligible participants navigate the housing process, identify and secure appropriate housing, and develop the skills and supports needed to maintain long-term housing stability.
This position offers the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with participants while providing practical support, advocacy, problem-solving, and connections to community resources. Because much of the work takes place where participants live and throughout the community, this role is a great fit for someone who enjoys both independent work and direct client interaction.

Starting pay of $47,618.83–$66,378.00 per year, dependent upon education and experience.

What You'll Do
Complete assessments to understand participants’ needs, strengths, preferences, and housing goals.
Participate in the development and implementation of individualized service plans.
Help participants identify and access appropriate housing opportunities and community resources.
Provide referrals, linkages, and coordination with behavioral health, social services, housing providers, and other community partners.
Provide housing search and stabilization support to help participants secure and maintain appropriate housing.
Conduct periodic in-home visits to support participants in maintaining their homes and achieving greater housing stability.
Provide practical support, advocacy, active listening, problem-solving, and resource identification based on each participant’s needs.
Help participants strengthen community connections, reduce isolation, and increase integration into their communities.
Maintain an organized caseload and complete required documentation related to participant services and program activities.
Work both independently and collaboratively in office, residential, and community settings.
