Position Overview
Birch Agency is seeking a dedicated School Psychologist to support students in a growing school community in Florida.
This opportunity currently involves supporting a 10th-grade student, allowing the School Psychologist to provide focused, individualized support while collaborating closely with educators and other members of the student's educational team.
The school community is also experiencing a growing haitian population, making strong cultural awareness, communication, and collaboration skills especially valuable in supporting students and families from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Provide school-based psychological services to support student academic, behavioral, social, and emotional development.
Conduct and interpret psychoeducational assessments and evaluations as needed.
Participate in eligibility determinations and IEP meetings.
Develop recommendations based on assessment results and student needs.
Monitor student progress and provide appropriate interventions and supports.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, special education staff, related service providers, and families.
Provide consultation regarding behavioral, academic, and social-emotional concerns.
Maintain accurate documentation and assessment records.
Support a culturally responsive and inclusive educational environment.
Follow district policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations.
Qualifications
Master's, specialist, or doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related field.
Valid North Carolina School Psychologist credential or eligibility.
Experience working with school-aged students is a plus.
Strong assessment, evaluation, and report-writing skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with students and families from diverse backgrounds.
Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus, particularly when supporting the school's diverse student population.
