Sage Path Counseling Center is a growing private practice rooted in a holistic, integrative approach to mental health. We're looking for an intentional, motivated clinician who values flexibility, clinical autonomy, collaboration, and the opportunity to grow with a developing group practice. This may be a strong fit for an associate seeking clinical supervision and support while building private-practice experience, or a fully licensed clinician who wants a flexible W-2 role without managing the administrative demands of solo practice.

Position Overview

This is a part-time, hybrid W-2 position serving clients both in person at our Red Bank, NJ office and virtually throughout New Jersey. Clinicians will build and maintain a consistent caseload, with flexibility to grow their hours based on availability, client demand, and mutual interest.

Hybrid Schedule & Availability

This is a hybrid position offering a combination of in-person services in Red Bank, NJ and telehealth services throughout New Jersey.

Clinicians will initially provide in-person services one day per week on Thursdays. As the position and caseload grow, clinicians should anticipate adding a second in-person day, with timing determined based on client demand, office availability, and scheduling needs.

Remaining clinical hours may be provided virtually, allowing flexibility in developing a schedule that supports both clinician and client needs.

Some evening availability is strongly preferred, as evenings are a high-demand time for clients. Specific scheduling preferences and availability will be discussed during the interview process.

Weekend availability is optional.

Compensation

Clinical sessions:

• $50.00 per completed session – first-year associate license
• $55.00 per completed session – second-year associate license
• $60.00 per completed session – fully licensed clinician

Administrative time:

• $20.00 per hour for required meetings, onboarding, and practice-required training.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate, ethical individual psychotherapy to New Jersey clients in person and via telehealth.
• Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans using appropriate clinical methods and standardized tools.
• Provide crisis intervention, case management, and care coordination as clinically appropriate.
• Monitor treatment progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically indicated.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and required forms.
• Bring openness and clinical skill to work involving anxiety, trauma, perinatal concerns, body image, disordered eating, and related areas within the clinician's competence.
• Participate in required team meetings, performance check-ins, and practice training.
• Maintain an accurate clinician bio/profile and participate in occasional compensated practice-development or community-outreach activities when mutually agreed upon.

Requirements

• Active New Jersey clinical license or associate license appropriate to the role (such as LAC, LPC, LAMFT, LMFT, LSW/LCSW, as applicable).
• For associate clinicians, ability to participate in supervision that meets applicable New Jersey licensing requirements.
• Ability and willingness to provide in-person services in Red Bank, NJ.
• Ability to provide telehealth services to New Jersey clients from a private, confidential workspace with reliable high-speed internet.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commitment to ethical, evidence-based, culturally responsive, client-centered care.
• Ability to maintain timely documentation and meet practice standards.
• Interest in building and maintaining a consistent private-practice caseload.

Preferred Qualifications

• Located within a reasonable commuting distance of Red Bank, New Jersey.
• Experience with CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS/Parts Work, ACT, mindfulness, or somatic approaches.
• Experience or interest in anxiety, trauma, perinatal mental health, body image, eating concerns, or related specialties.
• Interest in holistic and integrative mental health care.
• Evening availability and interest in hybrid/in-person work.
