ABA Therapist Position
Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Direct Service Professional (DSP)
Provide 1:1 in-home ABA therapy to autistic children under the supervision of a BCBA. This is not a caregiving role.
Position Details
- Part-time: 20–29 hours per week
- Potential to transition to full-time
- Minimum 1-year commitment required to ensure consistency of care
- Must have reliable transportation, a valid NJ driver’s license, and reside in NJ
- We are not hiring for summer-only or short-term positions

Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA supervision
- Provide direct 1:1 ABA therapy in clients’ homes
- Collect and track client progress data
- Teach and reinforce social, communication, and behavioral skills
- Collaborate with families and care teams
- Maintain accurate session documentation
- Engage positively with children, including those with behavioral challenges
Schedule
- Monday–Friday availability required (mornings, afternoons, evenings)
- Weekend flexibility as needed
- Shifts range from 4–8 hours
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, or related field preferred
- Experience with autism or developmental disabilities is a plus
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ABA principles
- Experience with data collection and behavior tracking
- Understanding of positive reinforcement strategies
- Ability to stay calm and adaptable in challenging situations
Compensation & Benefits
- $20–$27 per hour
- Paid training provided
- Referral program available
Location
- In-person role serving Bergen, Passaic, Essex, and Hudson Counties
- Includes clinic and in-home ABA services
- Relocation before starting may be required
