🧘 Bring Yoga to Young Learners

We're looking for an enthusiastic Yoga Instructor to introduce elementary students to yoga through fun, age-appropriate movement, breathing, and mindfulness activities.

You'll guide students through beginner-friendly yoga poses, stretches, breathing exercises, balance activities, and relaxation techniques. The goal is to create a positive experience where students can move, explore, build confidence, and learn healthy ways to manage energy and focus.

You don't need to be a professional classroom teacher. If you have a foundation in yoga and enjoy working with children, we'd love to hear from you.

You don't necessarily need extensive teaching experience either. We're open to yoga practitioners, instructors-in-training, fitness professionals, dancers, educators, college students, and others with a strong understanding of yoga who can create a safe and engaging experience for young learners.

Curriculum guidance and instructional materials are provided, giving you a helpful structure while allowing you to bring your own personality and creativity to each session.

🎯 What You'll Do

  • Lead fun and engaging yoga sessions for elementary students
  • Introduce age-appropriate yoga poses, stretches, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques
  • Use games, movement activities, stories, and creative exercises to keep students engaged
  • Help students develop balance, coordination, flexibility, body awareness, and confidence
  • Teach simple breathing and mindfulness techniques
  • Demonstrate movements clearly and promote safe movement practices
  • Encourage students to participate, explore, and try new movements
  • Adapt activities to different abilities, comfort levels, and learning styles
  • Create a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment
  • Encourage positive interaction and respect among students
  • Provide positive feedback and celebrate student progress
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally with program coordinators and school staff
  • Arrive prepared, dependable, and ready to engage students

🌟 What We're Looking For

You don't need to be a traditional teacher or have years of classroom experience. We're looking for someone who understands yoga and can make it approachable, enjoyable, and safe for children.

You may be a great fit if you have:

  • A solid foundation in yoga and familiarity with basic yoga poses and practices
  • An understanding of safe, age-appropriate movement
  • A genuine interest in working with children
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and an encouraging personality
  • The ability to lead engaging group activities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfort working with elementary-aged students
  • Reliability, professionalism, and a positive attitude
  • Willingness to follow provided curriculum while bringing your own creativity

Prior teaching experience is a plus, but not required. Experience in yoga instruction, fitness, dance, wellness, education, tutoring, camps, youth programs, mentoring, or related fields is helpful.

Yoga instructors, yoga teacher trainees, fitness professionals, dancers, wellness enthusiasts, college students, recent graduates, aspiring educators, and experienced yoga practitioners are all encouraged to apply.

💡 Why You'll Love This Role

  • Competitive Pay: Earn $25–$40/hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • Curriculum Support: Receive instructional materials and guidance, so you don't have to build everything from scratch.
  • Meaningful Work: Help children develop confidence, body awareness, balance, focus, and healthy movement habits.
  • Active & Engaging: Teach through movement, games, breathing, and hands-on activities rather than traditional lectures.
  • Build Valuable Experience: Develop skills in teaching, communication, classroom leadership, and youth development.
  • Bring Your Personality: Use your own energy, creativity, and approach to make each session positive and memorable.
