YMCA Tumble Instructor I – Youth Programs

Location: Baxter YMCA

About the Role

Support youth programs by leading safe, fun, and engaging activities in sports and movement‑based classes. Create a positive, noncompetitive environment that helps children grow in confidence and skill.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead activities in tumbling. 
  • Supervise participants to ensure safety and engagement
  • Demonstrate basic technique and form
  • Communicate clearly with preschool to middle school aged children
  • Maintain a safe space through visual inspection
  • Model YMCA values in every interaction

Qualifications

  • Experience in youth sports or teaching is preferred
  • Minimum age 16
  • Basic knowledge of youth sports or movement activities is preferred
  • Ability to demonstrate basic technique and form
  • Ability to communicate with preschool to middle school aged children
  • Ability to visually inspect participation space for safety
  • Current certifications in First Aid, Safety and Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention, and New Employee Orientation
  • Or ability to obtain within 90 days
