Advocate Training Coordinator

 Advocate Training Coordinator will follow the Independent Living philosophy to provide a variety of tailored, individualized supports to meet the changing needs and preferences of CFS clients by coordinating various opportunities for consumers by utilizing the Advocate Training Coordinator for success. These Services include working with the families and communicating in the preferred language while being respectful to the consumer and family’s culture. Additional assistance is provided by directly and/or indirectly providing resources and training for locating and obtaining generic resources in housing, benefits,
transportation, personal care attendants, medical services, employment or education, nursing facility transition, as well as other individualized need areas.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • Required:
    Associate (AA) Degree in Human Services field or Three years direct
    hands-on experience working with individuals with a variety of
    disabilities while coordinating/navigating services.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Professional English writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling,
    punctuation and vocabulary.
  • Ability to keep and file records.
  • Willingness to accept work direction from others.
  • Ability to make effective presentations.
  • Proficient use of basic office equipment, including Microsoft Office
    Suite.
  • Immediate access to a vehicle, and proof of current driver’s license and car insurance.
