Educational Assistant

    A.A./A.S. Degree, or current student within the college site with 30 units or more. 

    Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

    Willingness to accept work direction from others.

    Professional English writing ability, including usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary.

    Ability to file records.

    Proficient use of basic office equipment, including Microsoft Office Suite.

    Immediate access to a vehicle, and proof of current driver’s license and car insurance.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

    Provide College Education Services support, supervision and instruction to consumers at college sites.

    Meet the standards specific to independent college sites, including dress code and work quality requirements, as deemed necessary by Program Manager.

    Attend all required meetings and in-services.

    Provide motivation to participants.

    Ensure consumers receive weekly tutorials from staff.

    Model ethical behavior at all times.

    Complete all required documentation and reports per agency procedures.

    Assist in maintaining participants’ files and records.

    Provide personal care assistance, in class tutorials, out of class tutorials, in class supports and out of class supports as needed per individual need.
