Part-Time Trainer
Revved Up Kids is an Atlanta based nonprofit focused on sexual abuse prevention. We offer personal safety and self-defense training programs for children and teens across the metro area.
At this time, we are seeking part-time trainers (starting pay is $20/hour) to support our program deliveries on Saturdays and Sundays, and occasionally on weekday afternoons. Our trainers also have the opportunity to represent Revved Up Kid at community events if they are interested in doing so.
PLEASE READ THE APPLICATION REQUESTS AT THE END OF THIS DESCRIPTION; INCOMPLETE SUBMISSIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
Revved Up Kids trainers work on-call, meaning that they are not guaranteed hours and they have the opportunity to select assignments based compatibility with their schedule. We ask all trainers to be available at least ten hours each month for assignments.
Here are the qualifications we look for in a successful trainer:
Physical stamina ~ You will be required to assist with transport and set-up of our training and A/V equipment. You must be able to comfortably lift, move and carry up to 30lbs. Additionally, our training is very physical. You must be able to stand for long periods of time and hold equipment while participants hit or kick it.
Love of children ~ Our trainers must genuinely enjoy children of all ages, races, backgrounds and personalities. Patience, enthusiasm and caring are extremely important qualities, and we also look for individuals who can speak with children using a tone that is welcoming and friendly. Our trainers must maintain a professional demeanor even when faced with a child who is disobedient or acting out. Prior experience working successfully with children is a priority in our hiring decisions.
Punctuality - It is critical that our trainers are reliable and on time for work shifts.
