Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Behavior Specialist to work with youth ages 7-17 who are facing behavioral and mental health disorders. The ideal candidate will provide direct support, transportation, and skill-building activities to help these young individuals achieve their personal goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to youth, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
- Assist in skill-building activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Offer transportation to and from activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of the youth.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, including progress notes and behavior observations.
- Collaborate with families, schools, and other professionals to create a supportive and cohesive environment for the youth.
- Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and strategies in behavioral health.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or pursuing degree in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Experience working with youth with behavioral and mental health disorders.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
