Receptionist and Resource Navigator

Location: Centro Cultural Mexicano, (Redmond, WA)
Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

About Us

Centro Cultural Mexicano (CCM) is a trusted nonprofit organization based in Redmond, Washington, committed to serving Latino/Hispanic and immigrant communities across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. CCM provides bilingual programs in Spanish and English that promote culture, education, civic engagement, and community advocacy. Our work spans a wide range of areas, including arts and culture, basic needs, education, health, support for small businesses, environmental sustainability/justice, and digital equity and inclusion.

Position Summary

The Receptionist & Resource Navigator is responsible for managing front desk operations while providing basic guidance and connection to internal and external resources. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors, staff, and community members, ensuring a welcoming, organized, and responsive environment. In addition to reception duties, the position supports office operations such as supply management and event logistics, while helping direct individuals to appropriate services or information.

The ideal candidate is a highly organized, personable, and detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, people-centered environment. They bring strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to assess needs, provide accurate information, and connect individuals to relevant resources. Experience with office operations, inventory tracking, and supporting meetings or events is highly valued. This individual is dependable, resourceful, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a calm and professional presence. A commitment to accessibility, community engagement, and culturally responsive service is key to success in this role.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Reception & Resource Navigation

  • Serve as the first point of contact by greeting visitors, clients, and staff in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Answer, screen, and direct phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and accessible reception area that reflects a positive office environment.
  • Assess basic needs of guests and provide clear information, directions, or referrals to appropriate staff, services, or community resources.
  • Support visitor management processes, including sign-in, scheduling, and general front desk coordination.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service by responding to inquiries with professionalism, cultural awareness, and care.

Office Operations 

  • Monitor, order, and maintain office supplies and inventory on a regular (e.g., monthly) basis to ensure operational continuity.
  • Track supply usage and organize storage areas to maintain efficiency and accessibility.
  • Coordinate with management and accounting staff to place orders, manage deliveries, and resolve any issues related to supplies.
  • Support general office organization, including mail distribution, filing, and upkeep of shared spaces.
  • Assist the Executive Director with scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and coordinating logistics.
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support daily office functions and staff needs.

Events Support 

  • Support key organizational events, including CCM signature events, which may require occasional evening and weekend availability.
  • Assist Events Manager on an as needed basis with planning and coordination of community events. 
  • Support event setup and breakdown, including arranging furniture, materials, and equipment.
  • Coordinate basic logistics such as supplies, materials preparation, and vendor support as needed.
  • Help maintain organization of event materials and supplies before and after events.

Preferred Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 1–2+ years of experience in reception, administrative support, customer service, or a related role.
  • Experience providing front-facing customer service and supporting diverse populations in a professional setting.
  • Familiarity with office operations, including managing supplies, inventory tracking, and vendor coordination.
  • Experience supporting meetings, events, or community activities is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work occasionally during evenings and weekends to support events and organizational needs.


 

Skills & Competencies

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal) required.
  • Strong front-facing customer service and communication skills, with the ability to warmly and professionally engage visitors, staff, and community members.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage reception duties, supply inventory, and administrative tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive, dependable, and resourceful, with strong judgment in responding to inquiries and directing individuals to appropriate resources or staff.
  • Ability to support scheduling and calendar coordination for leadership, including the Executive Director, with discretion and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic office systems; familiarity with scheduling or task management tools preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
