Kaleidoscope Community Psychotherapy

Kaleidoscope Community Psychotherapy (KCP) is a nonprofit therapy practice, located in Southwest Portland, OR, that serves adults. KCP's mission is to provide affordable access to mental healthcare and work to reduce equity gaps in access to mental healthcare in systemically excluded populations. This position is an opportunity to be a part of a practice that combines the social justice work of a nonprofit with the flexibility and work/life balance of a private practice.

Clinicians create and maintain their own full-time or part-time schedule for client care, which provides flexibility for work/life balance. There is complete flexibility with regard to therapists working from home via telehealth, in office, or some combination of the two. The office is located in Southwest Portland. Because KCP is a nonprofit organization, employees who work full-time are eligible for service credit toward Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF). Supervision is also provided for pre-licensed clinicians.

Compensation varies depending upon the employee's licensing status and is based on a percentage of gross receipts from sessions. The salary range provided on this posting is an estimate that will vary based on gross receipts which are dependent upon hours worked, clients seen, and caseload.

We primarily see clients for therapy; however, we are actively growing our ability to offer assessment services and welcome clinicians who have interest and/or skill in this area.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide outpatient mental health therapy for adults using evidence based interventions
  • Complete biopsychosocial assessments and treatment plans
  • Complete clinical documentation to best practice standards
  • Engage in consultation, management of scheduling, and attendance at weekly group supervision

Education:

  • Possession of a Doctoral or Master’s degree from an accredited school of psychology or counseling.
  • License to practice in the state of Oregon or the ability to achieve licensure
