Pay: $21.00 – $29.00 per hour
Schedule: Part‑time | Mostly afternoon hours to start
Education: HS Diploma acceptable; BA preferred
Work Location: In‑person

We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and motivated Behavior Therapist / Behavior Instructor to join our multidisciplinary mental and behavioral health team. This position is perfect for individuals passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of children and families—especially those interested in special education, psychology, child development, ABA, sociology, or related fields.

🌈 What You’ll Do

• Implement individualized behavioral therapy programs using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other evidence‑based strategies.
• Conduct client observations, assist with assessments, and support treatment planning.
• Provide direct 1:1 support to children, adolescents, or adults with autism, developmental disabilities, & other behavioral/mental health needs.
• Support individual or small‑group sessions that may integrate CBT, art therapy, dance/movement, or psychodynamic‑informed approaches as trained.
• Collect accurate session data and assist with progress reporting.
• Collaborate with supervisors, families, and school teams to generalize skills in home, school, and community environments.
• Maintain professional documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards.
• Assist with crisis management using trained de‑escalation strategies when needed.

💡 Desired Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of behavior management strategies, ABA principles, or psychotherapy modalities (CBT, psychodynamic techniques, etc.).
• Experience supporting individuals with Autism, developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges (paid or volunteer).
• Strong communication skills, patience, empathy, and the ability to build trust with clients and families.
• Familiarity with ICD‑9/ICD‑10, clinical documentation, or medical terminology is a plus (not required).
• Comfort working in homes settings.
• Ability to take direction, work independently, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with telehealth or outpatient settings is helpful but not required.
