Education Coordinator

Education Program Coordinator – Entry Level

Fully Remote | United States - Preference for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zones

Launch Your Career in Professional Education

NAFA Fleet Management Association is looking for an organized, curious, and collaborative Education Program Coordinator to join our fully remote team.

This is an entry-level professional position designed for someone beginning their career in education, association management, professional development, events, or nonprofit work. You do not need previous experience in the fleet industry—or years of professional education experience—to be successful in this role.

You'll work alongside experienced professionals who will help you learn the business while you gain hands-on experience coordinating educational programs, conferences, virtual events, online learning, professional certification, speakers, volunteers, and learner communications.

If you're someone who enjoys staying organized, working with people, learning new technology, solving problems, and seeing a project come together, this could be a great place to launch your career.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Build your career while doing meaningful work. You'll gain hands-on professional experience while helping deliver education and certification programs that support thousands of fleet and mobility professionals.
  • Develop highly transferable skills. You'll build experience in project coordination, professional communication, events, customer service, data, learning technology, and relationship management.
  • Learn from an experienced team. You'll work closely with education professionals who will provide guidance and opportunities to take on greater responsibility as your skills grow.
  • Experience a variety of projects. You'll contribute to conferences, webinars, online courses, certification programs, speaker coordination, volunteer engagement, and new educational initiatives.
  • Work remotely while staying connected. NAFA is a fully remote organization, with opportunities to collaborate virtually and travel several times each year for meetings and events.

About NAFA

NAFA is the world's largest membership association serving professionals who manage fleet and mobility operations for corporations, government agencies, public safety organizations, schools and universities, utilities, and other organizations.

NAFA advances the fleet and mobility profession through education, certification, advocacy, and peer networking.

What You'll Do

Help coordinate educational programs. Support the planning and delivery of in-person conferences, virtual programs, webinars, online education, certification programs, and other learning initiatives. You'll help keep projects organized, track timelines, prepare materials, and make sure details don't fall through the cracks.

Support speakers and presenters. Help coordinate communications, materials, deadlines, scheduling, and logistics for professionals presenting at NAFA's live and virtual education programs.

Support learners and certification candidates. Respond to questions, provide helpful information, process enrollments and applications, and assist learners as they progress through NAFA's education and certification programs.

Work with data and technology. Help maintain accurate program and learner information, track participation and engagement, prepare reports, and learn to use NAFA's learning and association management technology.

Collaborate across the organization. Work with colleagues in Education, Marketing, Membership, Events, Operations, and other areas to help deliver a seamless experience for learners, speakers, volunteers, and members.

Engage volunteers and online communities. Assist with volunteer coordination and help support online communities by sharing resources, facilitating discussions, and encouraging participation.

Learn, contribute, and grow. Bring your ideas and curiosity to the team. As you gain experience, you'll have opportunities to take greater ownership of projects and contribute to improvements in NAFA's education programs.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for potential, initiative, organization, and a willingness to learn. We don't expect an entry-level candidate to arrive knowing everything about professional education, certification, associations, or the fleet industry.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Students graduating in the current academic year are encouraged to apply.
  • 0–2 years of relevant professional experience. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments, deadlines, and priorities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A positive, service-oriented approach to working with customers, colleagues, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
  • Comfort working with technology and the ability and enthusiasm to learn new systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a fully remote team.
  • Ability to travel approximately 5–6 times per year for staff meetings, conferences, and events. The underlying position also occasionally requires work outside the normal 37.5-hour week around major events.

Relevant experience doesn't have to come from a traditional full-time job. Internships, campus employment, student organizations, volunteer leadership, event planning, customer service, and part-time professional experience can all help prepare you for this role.

Nice to Have – But Not Required

We'd be excited to hear about experience with any of the following, but you don't need these to apply:

  • Internships or work experience involving education, events, nonprofits, associations, customer service, or project coordination
  • Coordinating events, meetings, speakers, or volunteers
  • Zoom or other webinar/virtual-event platforms
  • Learning management systems or other education technology
  • Working with data or creating reports in Excel
  • Professional associations or membership organizations
  • An interest in adult learning, professional development, certification, or the nonprofit sector

No previous fleet, automotive, or mobility industry experience is required.

Who Will Thrive in This Role?

You may be a great fit if you're someone who:

  • Likes organizing details and keeping projects on track
  • Enjoys helping people and building relationships
  • Communicates professionally and isn't afraid to ask questions
  • Is comfortable learning new technology
  • Notices when something could work better and looks for ways to help
  • Can work independently while also enjoying being part of a team
  • Is curious and eager to learn
  • Takes pride in following through on commitments

We're looking for someone who wants to grow into the role, not someone who has already done everything on this list.

What We Offer

NAFA's current benefits include:

  • Fully remote work from anywhere in the United States
  • Technology stipend
  • 25 days of PTO in the first year
  • 9 paid holidays
  • Employer-paid health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with a 6% employer match
  • Professional development and training opportunities

Ready to Start Your Career?

You don't need to check every box to apply.

If you're early in your career and excited about education, events, professional development, nonprofit work, or association management, we'd like to hear from you. We're looking for someone with the potential and motivation to learn, and we'll help you build the specialized knowledge you'll need along the way.

Recent graduates and graduating seniors are encouraged to apply.
