Position Overview
Able Mind, LCSW PLLC is a fully telehealth behavioral health group practice licensed in New York State. This role is for a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) completing supervised clinical experience toward LCSW licensure. The clinician carries an assigned telehealth caseload of individual clients located in New York State and reports to the Clinical Director.
Day-to-day work consists of scheduled psychotherapy sessions, the clinical documentation supporting them, and one protected hour of individual supervision each week. Caseloads are capped at approximately 10 to 15 client sessions per week.
The caseload cap and the weekly supervision schedule hold for the duration of the role, through the period of supervised experience required for LCSW licensure.
Practice Structure and Support
- Weekly 1:1 clinical supervision toward LCSW licensure, provided at no cost to the clinician, at a fixed weekly time and including documentation review. Supervised hours are tracked and documented for submission to NYSED in support of your LCSW licensure application.
- Established clinical infrastructure, including documentation systems and Google Workspace, in place at the start of employment.
- Scheduling, insurance billing, claims follow-up, and payor credentialing administered by the practice.
- Client referrals are supported by the practice's existing marketing and billing infrastructure.
- An enforced caseload cap of 10 to 15 sessions per week.
- Transition to the practice's LCSW clinician role and rate structure upon licensure.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual (and, where applicable, family or group) telehealth psychotherapy to an assigned caseload of clients under clinical supervision, consistent with the scope of practice authorized for an LMSW under New York Education Law and Part 74 of the Commissioner's Regulations.
- Complete timely, supervision-ready clinical documentation, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, on the practice's documentation schedule.
- Attend and actively participate in one 60-minute individual clinical supervision session per week, and any scheduled group supervision or case consultation.
- Maintain a minimum of 12 to 15 open, bookable calendar slots per week during the practice's designated peak availability windows, in accordance with the Schedule Commitment below.
- Maintain professional credentialing records in current status, including CAQH attestation, NPI registration, and malpractice coverage.
- Participate in the informed consent process with each client regarding the supervised nature of care.
- Uphold all client confidentiality, HIPAA, and practice data-security standards.
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State, in good standing with NYSED.
- Active Type 1 Individual National Provider Identifier (NPI).
- Active CAQH ProView profile, attested and current.
- Individual professional liability (malpractice) insurance with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence / $3,000,000 aggregate.
- Demonstrated comfort delivering clinical care by telehealth, and working within a standard electronic health record.
- Alignment with the practice's values: sustainable, high-quality clinical care; direct and structured supervision; and sustained investment in clinician development.
Schedule Commitment
This is a fee-for-service role with a mandatory minimum availability requirement. Clinicians commit to maintaining a minimum of 12 to 15 open, bookable calendar slots per week during the practice's designated peak-demand windows (currently weekday evenings and weekend daytime hours; exact windows confirmed at hire and reviewed periodically). This requirement supports client access and consistent referral volume.
Compensation
Non-exempt, W-2 employee status. Compensation is calculated on a fee-for-service basis at a rate of $50.00 to $55.00 per completed clinical session, based on credentialing status and payor mix. All compensation is subject to New York minimum wage and overtime protections regardless of the per-session pay structure.
