This is an in-person technical garment-fitting position for applicants whose current measurements closely match our women’s denim size-28 sample garments.

This is not a runway, fashion-design, marketing, administrative, influencer, or general modeling position.

POSITION OVERVIEW

August S. Productions, Inc. is seeking a dependable women’s apparel fit model to assist with the development and evaluation of original garments, including jeans, skirts, jackets, dresses, tops, and activewear.

The fit model will try on sample garments while the design and production team evaluates fit, balance, proportion, comfort, movement, and construction.

Garments may be measured, pinned, marked, adjusted, photographed, or recorded for internal product-development purposes.

This position does not require professional modeling experience. Reliability, consistent measurements, patience, clear communication, and the ability to provide honest fit feedback are more important than a professional modeling portfolio.

REQUIRED FIT PROFILE

Applicants must:

• Currently and consistently wear women’s denim size 28

• Closely match the waist, hip, rise, thigh, leg, and overall proportions of our size-28 sample garments

• Preferably be approximately 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall

• Maintain reasonably stable measurements during active garment-development projects

• Be comfortable being measured and trying on sample garments in a private fitting area

Because clothing sizes vary between brands, final selection will be based on actual body measurements and compatibility with our sample garments—not only the size printed on a clothing label.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Try on women’s apparel samples during scheduled fitting sessions

• Stand naturally while garments are measured, evaluated, pinned, marked, and adjusted

• Walk, sit, bend, reach, turn, and move as directed so garment comfort and mobility can be evaluated

• Provide accurate feedback about comfort, tightness, looseness, pressure points, rise, length, balance, and ease of movement

• Participate in internal fitting photographs and short technical videos

• Arrive on time and communicate promptly regarding scheduling

• Handle original garments, designs, patterns, and product-development information confidentially

QUALIFICATIONS

• Reliable, punctual, patient, and professional

• Comfortable providing direct and honest fit feedback

• Able to follow detailed application and fitting instructions

• Available for occasional in-person sessions in San Diego

• At least 18 years old

Previous fit-modeling, sewing, patternmaking, apparel-production, dance, athletics, or performance experience is helpful but not required.

SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

• Part-time and on-call

• Individual fittings will generally last approximately one to three hours

• Sessions will be scheduled as new garment samples become available

• Compensation is $20–$35 per hour, based on fit compatibility, experience, reliability, and the requirements of each fitting session

PHONE VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS

The video does not need to be professionally produced. A simple phone video is preferred.

Please submit one continuous video, approximately 30–60 seconds long, filmed in good lighting with your entire body visible from head to toe.

Wear simple, close-fitting clothing such as a fitted T-shirt or tank top with leggings, fitted jeans, or similar garments. Do not wear baggy clothing, heavy jackets, costumes, shapewear, or clothing that hides your natural proportions.

In the video:

1. Stand facing the camera

2. Turn slowly to show one side

3. Turn to show your back

4. Turn to show the opposite side

5. Turn back to the front

6. Walk naturally toward the camera

7. Turn and walk naturally away from the camera

8. Complete one slow, natural turn so your front, sides, and back can be seen

The video may be recorded by a friend or with the phone placed securely on a stable surface.

No professional camera, editing, music, filters, posing routine, runway walk, or modeling experience is required.

The purpose of the video is only to evaluate general proportions, posture, movement, and compatibility with our women’s size-28 sample garments.
