Part-Time Martial Arts Instructor

PART-TIME MARTIAL ARTS INSTRUCTOR (IN-PERSON)

Pay: $25–$35 per hour (depending on experience)

We're looking for a Part-Time Martial Arts Instructor to lead engaging, positive, and age-appropriate martial arts classes for students this fall. This program introduces students to the fundamentals of martial arts while helping them develop important life skills such as respect, perseverance, teamwork, self-confidence, and self-control.

 

Through structured activities, movement exercises, skill-building drills, and character-focused instruction, students will learn that martial arts is not just about technique—it is about personal growth, building confidence, and becoming the best version of themselves.

 

Whether you're a martial artist, coach, athlete, instructor, or someone passionate about mentoring young learners, this is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through movement and mentorship.

 

Curriculum guidance and program support are provided, allowing you to focus on creating a safe, encouraging, and memorable experience for students.

 

What You'll Do

  • Lead fun, engaging, and structured martial arts classes for students
  • Teach foundational martial arts skills, including:
    • Basic techniques and movements
    • Stances, balance, coordination, and agility
    • Fitness exercises and conditioning activities
    • Self-defense fundamentals (where applicable)
  • Guide students through warm-ups, drills, practice activities, and skill-building exercises
  • Help students develop confidence, discipline, focus, and respect through martial arts training
  • Teach important values such as perseverance, teamwork, responsibility, and sportsmanship
  • Create an energetic classroom environment where students feel motivated and supported
  • Adapt instruction based on students' ages, abilities, and experience levels
  • Encourage participation and celebrate student progress
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
  • Provide constructive feedback and encouragement to help students improve
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators
  • Arrive prepared and ready to deliver an impactful martial arts experience

 

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience practicing martial arts or related disciplines
  • Enjoys working with children and helping students grow
  • Can create a positive, structured, and encouraging environment
  • Has strong communication and leadership skills
  • Is patient, reliable, energetic, and professional
  • Can motivate students while maintaining safety and organization
  • Enjoys teaching through movement, practice, and hands-on activities

 

Experience teaching, coaching, mentoring, leading camps, or working with youth is helpful—but not required.
