Overview:

This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, allowing interns to apply plant science principles to real farming initiatives. ULimo is seeking curious and research-driven Plant Science Interns to assist with projects involving crop genetics, plant diseases, weed management, seed production, and plant health. Interns will explore methods that improve crop performance and agricultural productivity through scientific research and applied practices.

This internship provides hands-on experience in plant cultivation, disease prevention, crop management, and agricultural research. Interns will develop practical knowledge while contributing to projects that support healthy and sustainable crop production.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with crop and plant research projects.
  • Research plant genetics and breeding methods.
  • Monitor plant health and disease prevention efforts.
  • Support weed management initiatives.
  • Assist with seed production projects.
  • Collect and analyze plant growth data.
  • Research sustainable crop management techniques.
  • Prepare reports on plant science findings.
  • Collaborate on agricultural research initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Plant Science, Agricultural Science, Biology, Botany, Crop Science, or a related field.
  • Interest in crop genetics, plant health, and agricultural research.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Ability to organize and interpret scientific data.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
