Overview:
This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, giving interns the opportunity to contribute to meaningful sustainability efforts within an active farming operation. ULimo is seeking environmentally conscious Environmental Science Interns to support projects focused on sustainable farming, conservation, water quality, and climate adaptation. Interns will research and develop strategies that promote environmentally responsible agricultural practices.
This internship provides practical experience analyzing environmental impacts, conservation methods, and sustainability initiatives while supporting real agricultural projects. Interns will gain valuable insight into balancing agricultural productivity with environmental responsibility.
Responsibilities:
- Research sustainable farming practices.
- Assist with environmental impact assessments.
- Support conservation and water quality initiatives.
- Monitor environmental data and trends.
- Research climate adaptation strategies.
- Assist with sustainability reporting.
- Analyze environmental performance metrics.
- Develop recommendations for improving sustainability.
- Collaborate on conservation-focused projects.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Ecology, Agriculture, Natural Resources, or a related field.
- Interest in conservation, climate adaptation, and sustainable farming.
- Strong analytical and research abilities.
- Experience with environmental data collection or GIS software is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
