Overview:

This New Jersey farm is a side project that we are working on, providing interns with the opportunity to apply innovative agricultural technologies to real-world farming operations. ULimo is seeking innovative and technology-driven Agricultural Technology Interns to help explore and implement modern farming solutions that improve productivity, efficiency, and sustainability. Interns will research and work with emerging technologies such as precision agriculture, GPS-guided equipment, drones, robotics, smart irrigation systems, sensors, IoT devices, AI applications, and agricultural data analytics.

This internship provides hands-on experience evaluating agricultural technologies, analyzing farm operations, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency through innovation. Interns will collaborate on research, technology implementation, and process improvement projects while gaining exposure to the rapidly growing field of AgTech.

Responsibilities:

  • Research emerging agricultural technologies and industry trends.
  • Assist with precision agriculture initiatives and GPS-based farming solutions.
  • Support drone mapping, aerial imaging, and field data collection.
  • Analyze agricultural data to identify opportunities for improved efficiency.
  • Research AI, IoT, and smart farming technologies.
  • Assist with evaluating irrigation and automation systems.
  • Document technology findings and prepare reports for leadership.
  • Collaborate on projects that improve sustainability and farm productivity.
  • Stay informed on advancements in agricultural innovation. 

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agricultural Technology, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interest in precision agriculture, AI, robotics, drones, or smart farming technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, GIS software, IoT technologies, or programming languages is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to learn emerging agricultural technologies.
