Hiring Range: $103,064 - $131,310 per year

Full-Time, Exempt

About Steele County Human Services 

The Minnesota Prairie County Alliance (MNPrairie) is a collaborative human services agency formed in 2014 by Dodge, Steele, and Waseca counties to deliver essential services through a shared structure.  Steele County has made the decision to transition out of the collaborative and establish an independent county human services department. Planning and activities for this separation are underway, with the new department scheduled to launch on January 1, 2027.  This change reflects Steele County’s commitment to local service delivery and meeting the unique needs of its residents. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision from the Director of Human Services, the Eligibility & Enrollment Program Manager will perform complex professional work managing the eligibility and enrollment programs and staff. This includes planning, implementing and evaluating the eligibility and enrollment programs and strategic plans. Develops and maintains a service-oriented approach and creatively supports the quality initiatives of the department, county and community. Supports the department in the maintenance of a healthy work culture by recruiting, training and developing staff. Responsible for managing eligibility and enrollment budget and related work as assigned. 

 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral or social sciences, Business Administration, Social Work, Nursing, or closely related field.
  • 3-5 years of child support, eligibility, county or state human services experience
  • 3 years of experience working in a lead, supervisory or management capacity; preferably in  county human services  
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to pass a standard background check

*Steele County will contribute to HSA/VEBA $1,700 for single or $3,500 for family (if you elect to pay for our Medical insurance that is provided by Medica); other benefits that are available include dental, vision, life insurance, long term disability insurance, deferred compensation plan, PERA pension plan, employee assistance program, paid time off, etc.
