POSITION SUMMARY
The Resolve Counselor/Therapist provides trauma-informed counseling and therapeutic services to victims of crime and abuse through the RESOLVE Program. This position conducts clinical assessments, develops treatment plans, provides individual, family, group, and crisis counseling, and collaborates with community partners to promote client safety, healing, and recovery.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education
- Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or a related field required.
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or other applicable Texas behavioral health license preferred/required in accordance with program requirements.
Experience
- Experience providing counseling or therapeutic services to victims of crime, abuse, or trauma preferred.
- Experience conducting assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.
- Valid Texas driver's license and ability to pass required background screenings.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention.
- Strong clinical assessment and counseling skills.
- Knowledge of victim services and community resources.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic documentation systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound clinical judgment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working Conditions:
- Office-based clinical setting with occasional community outreach.
Occasional evening and weekend work as program needs required.
