Victim-focused Child Welfare Intensive Care Coordinator

Position Summary: The Victim-Focused child welfare Intensive Care Coordinator is a key member of the GO TEAM®, a trauma-informed crisis response program that partners with first responders and child welfare professionals to support children and families impacted by violence, neglect, and housing instability. This role provides immediate crisis intervention and ongoing case management, with a strong focus on housing navigation, stabilization, and homelessness prevention. The Victim-Focused child welfare Intensive Care Coordinator works collaboratively with DCYF Child Protective Services staff, as well as the GO TEAM® Clinician, to support families at risk of child removal due to unsafe or unstable living conditions, helping them secure and maintain safe, affordable housing while addressing trauma- and victim-related needs. This position provides housing information, referrals, advocacy, and support in obtaining and maintaining safe and stable housing and ensuring wrap-around services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Experience providing housing support services within Rhode Island preferred.
- Possession of valid drivers’ license, reliable transportation and proof of current automobile insurance required.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. FSRI values staff with bilingual language capacity and familiarity with the local community they will be serving. FSRI includes pay incentives for bilingual staff.
- Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
- Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.
Physical Requirements: This position requires a mix of office-based and community-visit work. Employees in this position must have the ability to:
- Travel to and from office sites and community locations which could include using walkways, stairs and/or elevators.
- Employees must also have the ability to lift up to 20lbs.
